Hey loves! Say hello to a very short citytrip outfit inspiration post for today… Ever since I started my Masters at the VU university in Amsterdam, I’m really busy focussing on school, my work, my sports, and ofcourse Instagram and the blog.. Which is quite stressy sometimes, so today I’m gonna be short because I got lots of stuff to do due to Thesis deadlines. And how’s life at the other side of the screen?
Today I’ll be showing you an easy look, which is perfect to wear during a citytrip! Because if you’re anything like me… it’s a struggle what to pack for a citytrip. Deciding what to wear for a weekendtrip is even harder than packing for a longer vacation because you’re not able to take a lot of stuff with you and you want to take as much as possible with you “just in case”.
Ok my first tip: Check the weather so you can decide what kinda clothes you’ll need and pack accordingly.
Tip Two: You’re probably gonna walk a lot during the sightseeing so make sure you take some comfy flat shoes with you. Could be sneakers, ankle boots, ballerinas or some chelsea boots like I did. No matter the oufit my chelsea boots always add some sturdy elegance to the attire.
Tip Three: A comfy sweater. Sweaters are practical for almost every occasion during a cityrip. It will make your outfit more or less casual. The great thing about them is you can wear them classic with a chique blouse underneath or you can combine it with a jacket. That’s what I did. I teamed my striped sweater up with my leather jacket and created a more rough and edgy look. Bonus tip: Pick a basic color like I did with the black&white and the black jacket so you’re able to mix and match with other items you took with you.
Tip Four: A basic jeans or black pants. I took my high waist grey/black jeans with me that’s very strechty, comfy and fashionable.
Tip Five: Don’t forget some accessoires that could be usefull like a pair of sunglasses, a hat, a beanie, a practical little (not too little!) bag and/or a scarf. Depends on the city and the weather ofcourse. I choose to take my fave hat with me as a sort of protection from the rain, because we all know it could be very rainy in London. And to protect myself from the cold I took this brown cosy scarf with me too. Because I had some room left I decided to take my vintage baggie with me too.
Tip Six: Take a basic colored coat with you that you can wear with every outfit.
I don’t feel like this look needs that much else explanation…What do you think?! Let me know!
Gonna get back to my Homework now, byeeee.
